This course will give students the opportunity to lead discussions in small groups, requiring not only a clear understanding of the issues they choose but also the ability to develop discussion questions that delve more deeply into the issue. While researching the various issues, students are encouraged to consider how the topics we cover are interrelated with many other issues in society.

We will browse the internet and look at news related to four themes: technology, health, lifestyle, and entertainment. Each week we will read and discuss a short article about a specific topic. The class will feature discussion, pair work, and critical thinking.
