In this course, you will discuss your own experiences and opinions about everyday life, work and language. You will also learn from the stories of migrants, study abroad students and others who do life in many languages. You will explore issues such as identity, language beliefs and discrimination. Through case studies and class discussions, you will gain a deeper awareness of ways to live and work in multiple languages, find your own voice, overcome language problems, and make a difference in your own life and in the lives of people around you. At the end of the course, you will create and share an action plan for an issue that you are interested in.
